Hosted by Fae Club, this unforgettable evening blends immersive fantasy with a welcoming, vibrant community — and this year’s Vikings & Valkyries Ball promises to be our most ambitious event yet.

A Historic First at the Guildhall
For the very first time, Fae Club is bringing its signature fantasy experience to the Guildhall — a venue steeped in grandeur and history. With its striking architecture and atmospheric interiors, it provides the perfect backdrop for a night inspired by Norse mythology.
This event will also be the biggest fantasy ball in the UK, featuring two grand ballrooms, each filled with music, vendors, performances, and interactive experiences that transport you into another realm.
We will be hosting in the Grand Hall with a capacity for 900 guests, and in the Old Library & Print Room as our second ballroom with the capacity for another 620 guests.
What Happens at a Fantasy Ball?
A Fae Club ball is far more than just a ‘party’ — it’s a fully immersive experience. Throughout the evening, guests can expect live performances woven with theatrical storytelling, alongside themed music and dancing that flows between multiple rooms. The night is brought to life through stunning costumes inspired by mythology and fantasy, as well as interactive moments that invite you to become part of the world around you. Whether you want to dance, watch, explore, or simply take in the atmosphere, the Guildhall Fantasy Ball offers a rich and memorable experience from beginning to end.
Do you need to know how to dance?
You don’t need to know how to dance to take part. We host guided dance sessions led by a dance caller, where everything is taught step-by-step in a way that’s easy, fun, and completely beginner-friendly. These sessions are designed to be welcoming and low-pressure, so you can join in as much or as little as you like — there’s no expectation, just an opportunity to try something new and enjoy the moment.
